Ethan Underwood practices in the fields of land use, real estate, and property tax law, representing developers, as well as individual property owners. He has negotiated numerous zoning and development actions and advises clients regarding environmental regulations and municipal ordinances.
Ethan also represents clients before government authorities and courts regarding land use matters, title and boundary disputes, and property tax appeals. Ethan is member of the State Bar of Georgia and the State Bar of Tennessee. Ethan earned his J.D. with a concentration in business transactions from the University of Tennessee College of Law, and MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Tennessee. He also earned a B.S. in marketing from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.
Ethan is active in the community, serving in local civic and charitable organizations. He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors for multiple nonprofit corporations, including the Bald Ridge Lodge, Inc., which operates a home for boys who are in the custody of the Department of Family and Children Services , and Rewarding Minds, Inc., which provides to underprivileged youth computer hardware to facilitate their education. From 2009-2013, Ethan served as Chairman of the Forsyth County Republican Party, and from 2013-2015 served as 2nd Vice Chair of the 9th Congressional District Republican Party. He is also a member of Rotary, International.
